According to a report from the office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), during the first quarter of 2023, a majority of Thais experienced an increase in illnesses, primarily due to the resurgence of the new variant of COVID-19. Additionally, Thai people also fell ill due to problems related to air pollution or PM2.5, affecting up to 3.11 million individuals. The most common ailment among children in this year’s first quarter was hand, foot, and mouth disease.

Despite private hospitals’ income not experiencing as significant a surge as during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kasikorn research predicts that private hospital revenues will still grow by 3.7% (YoY) in 2023. Private hospitals continue to generate income; furthermore, Thais still prefer seeking treatment in private hospitals over public ones. It’s undeniable that the cost of treatment in private hospitals tends to be higher than in government hospitals. Therefore, financial planning to support healthcare should be a vital consideration for every household.

Sunday and the Government Pension Fund (GPF) recognize the importance of these matters and aim to provide convenient access to comprehensive care for all Thai civil servants. This is achieved through exclusive benefits in health and electric vehicle insurance, available for all civil servants through four products:

1.Health Lump Sum insurance: Offering coverage up to 1 million baht, starting from just THB 990 per month*.
2.Critical Illness insurance: Covering 22 critical illnesses, starting from THB 160 per month*.
3.Child health insurance: Providing peace of mind for all your child’s activities, available for children from 15 days old to 10 years old, starting from THB 2,445 per month*.
4.Electric vehicle insurance: Ensuring peace of mind during your travels, along with receiving up to THB 3,000 worth of gift cards from Lotus’s*.

In addition to the coverage and insurance plans, you can also choose to pay with 0% interest for 10 months and even for tax deductions. Sunday also offers Jolly super app by Sunday, which provides a seamless experience for insurance and healthcare. Whether it’s telemedicine for easy access to doctors or pharmacists, drug delivery service, or refilling prescriptions for regular medications, walk-in pharmacy to Doctor AI chatbot and innovative features like Digital Twin for preventive healthcare, Jolly super app by Sunday has it all that supports your comprehensive health needs. Moreover, Jolly super app by Sunday offers lifestyle features that cater to every age group, including the “near me” feature that lets you check PM2.5 levels and flood near your location.

Dhanadham Pokthitiyuk, Chief Marketing Officer & Director of Sunday added “In this collaboration with the Government Pension Fund, Sunday is truly delighted to have earned the trust to provide insurance services to civil servants across Thailand. The main objective of this partnership is to empower civil servants to plan their financial strategies. As we cannot predict when illness might strike, having a plan in place gives us the confidence that we’re prepared for any circumstances. Sunday acknowledges the significance of this, including maintaining good health and ensuring easily accessible treatment wherever and whenever needed. To address these needs, we have developed the Jolly super app by Sunday, catering especially to our customers. It allows access to insurance coverage, checking coverage benefits, and even self-claim processing. It also includes a digital health card and other features that help you better understand your well-being.

This encompasses comprehensive health planning through the Digital Twin feature.
